Party Planning 101...

Z’s birthday is tomorrow but the party is still on January 22. Right after S went to sleep today, Z and I sneaked out to go to Super 8 to buy the food we’ll be cooking for his party. I was hesitant to bring the car without S and actually contemplated on commuting but the thought of all the groceries that I would carry made me think twice. I’m so glad I did! More driving experience means less worry.

It took us almost three hours doing the shopping although I didn’t buy a lot.  Just some spaghetti, packed juice, styro, spoon and fork for the food. Too bad they didn’t have any drumsticks at the time. I still have to worry where to get that later. I don’t like the hassle of giving out the food at party time that’s why we’re bringing everything packed and ready to be distributed. I want to enjoy the party too.

The party is going to be held at school so it’s just going to be children. Our real surprise for Z is the party host/puppeteer/ventriloquist/magician we hired for his birthday.  It’s just one person who’s going to do it all. He’s going to take care of all the entertaining and hosting. He will entertain the kids for three  whole hours! That’s a long time if you ask me. I just hope he’s taking No-Xplode so we can see no xplode results first hand.

I have actually watched the puppeteer’s video at YouTube and I know it’s going to be a blast. If  I was able to enjoy his antics then what more for the kids. They are so easy to please after all. Especially Z! Just the sight of Spongebob would tickle him to the bones. Yes, the puppeteer has a Spongebob puppet and from what I know he has a lot more. I really can’t wait! I hope everything goes smoothly on the big day.

Happy Birthday, Tim!...

Z attended his cousin, Tim’s 1st birthday at Jollibee. There were only a few kids so they had lots of “quality” time with their favorite mascot, who else but Jollibee. (more…)

A Delightful Birthday Party at Saisaki, Dad’...

A few weeks ago we attended a birthday party at Saisaki, Dad’s, and Kamayan. It was the longest birthday party we’ve ever attended. If a Jollibee or McDonald’s party last two hours long this party went on for, I think, four hours! It was complete with a magician and a personal appearance of not one, but two mascots – Mickey and Minnie Mouse. The fun just went on and on for the kid. Z, who’s normally shy had to overcome his shyness because the host just gives away too many goodies that he didn’t want to miss out. If he normally didn’t want to have his face painted, well he tried it here for the first time.
