Popcorn is one of our favorite snacks. What’s not to like about it? It’s easy to eat and easy on calories. Plus it’s so yummy! Whenever my husband and I watch movies, we never fail to order a bucket of popcorn. Movies are not the same without munching on these goodies, I swear!

I don’t know how to cook but even someone like me can never mess cooking popcorn. Just take out a casserole with cover. Then poor uncooked corn in a small glass. Pour only a little because when it pops it might overflow from the casserole. Then pour enough oil to cover the corn. Pour corn-oil mixture into the casserole and cover. Set to medium heat. Wait for the corn to pop. I advise not to do other chores because in less than 2 minutes it will be cooked.

My brother is coming home this May. That’s the reason why hubby is again on the lookout for a guitar to buy. The last guitar he bought was a Gretsch guitar. It was expensive but it was still affordable compared to those found in the mall. That’s why he likes buying his gear online.

Anyway, I saw an Ibanez Artcore online and it looks like something that my husband would like. I would suggest that he buy this if he still can’t make up his mind.

Delivery Hurdles

When it comes to our furniture business I am now convinced that I love selling more. Compared to deliveries that is. Delivering the goods is a nightmare. I hate breaking promises to our buyers. When I say my word it will be delivered this day I really meant for it to be delivered that day. However, sometimes that is not feasible. Traffic in Manila is a nightmare. Plus the fact that trucks break down and parts like destaco need to be bought.

Anyway, the good news is this doesn’t happen often. I just have to be more patient and to accept the fact that things happen that are out of our control.

Coins

I remember when I was little coins were very big and heavy – at least it was that to me in my then small hands. We have various coins available and my favorite part was going to the store to buy myself some candies. Back then one peso coin can buy me four candies. It was heaven for a small kid like me.

Nowadays, the modern coins are smaller and more lightweight. I think it’s more economical to do these types of coins compared to the large ones back then. The thing is, I don’t think my kids would get excited if given one. They prefer the crisp bills. Hahaha!

Musically Inclined Kid

When we bought our iPad we didn’t know how it would turn our kids to become musically inclined. During the first few months of his life we would keep him occupied with the different Christian songs. It didn’t take long when he would give some reaction whenever he hears his favorite songs.

Now that he is older and much more adept with the iPad he would download apps on his own like digital pianos and sing-along songs. He would pound the digital keyboard and try to sing along with the different songs. Hubby and I get a laugh whenever we see him try to imitate as best as he can.

Sporting Dog

When I was little we had two dogs at the house. These are guard dogs to ward off any intruders in the house. Since I didn’t have a playmate these two were my playmates. I would run and they would run after me. Or I would run after them. It was so much fun that I even dreamt about them while asleep.

Anyway, now that I am living in the city I am regretful for my kids who didn’t get to experience running around with dogs. We have a cute shih tzu at the house but you know how small dogs are. They are just content to sleep around.

But all is not lost because my husband and I are planning to buy a house in the province. When that time comes we will surely buy a house with a farm. We will run wild and buy sporting dogs and some sporting equipment like this sportdog 800. Of course, we will still keep our beloved shih tzu and he’s free to rest whenever he feels tired. LOL! We will finally get the exercise we missed after living in the city for so long.

My hubby has had enough of my son’s too much playing on the iPad. To minimize his “addiction” he laid our rules and things he should do before he can get his hands on it. One of them is an hour of guitar practice and singing one song everyday.

The first day my son was adamant but after a few minutes of prodding he started practicing. After one hour he forgot he was supposed to stop and hubby had to remind him that he has already done his responsibility for the day.

Anyway, I hope my kids will learn to play guitar as well as their dad. I’m sure someday they will be asking us to buy one of those cool Guild Guitars for them to make good music.
