When I was growing up I would see dozens of bed linens in our closet. My grandma said it’s from my grandfather who bought it from the States during his trip there. The bed linens of the
peacock alley and matouk brand were soft and gorgeous. However, my grandma would refuse to use it and would reserve it only for special guests. That’s how much she loved those linens. I realized that she may have only used it a couple of times before she finally died a few years ago. Sadly, I don’t know where the linens are now.
Now that I have my own family we’re only using ordinary linens. It’s because we’re co-sleeping with the kids and with kids, disaster can happen anytime. Like for example a few months ago my baby was not wearing any diaper because we ran out. I asked Z to run to the store to buy some and while he was out guess what happened? Yes, our baby decided to pee on the bed. If I had special bed linens on the bed at that time I would have a heart attack.
Anyway, when the kids move to their own bed I look forward to buying quality bed linens. My hubby and I certainly deserve to sleep on something a little luxurious after a day of hard work.
