Evernote Helps Frazzled Mom

One of my problems with having the internet at my fingertips is being bombarded with too much information. It’s not only one time when I find myself reading a great article online that I know I can use in the future but not knowing how to save that information. When I finally need it of course I won’t be able to recall where I found it anymore.

I know it’s the same for a lot of you whether it’s finding steel buildings in canada or delicious recipes you can cook on your son’s birthday we need to store these information somewhere where we can retrieve for later use.

Enter Evernote. Evernote CEO, Phil Libin, said the idea behind this is to create an external brain. This might not be the first one to help people remember things but the reason why it is so successful is because it was programmed to even read your handwriting or anyone’s handwriting for that matter. If you have an idea on paper, take a picture, upload to Evernote and when you want to retrieve that note just search for a keyword and it would be able to read your handwriting even if it’s cursive!

As a mom and a blogger life can be stressful for me. I have to stay on top of things – research for my son’s homeschooling needs, plan the week’s menu, update my blogs, and so much more. I admit some days I find myself not able to keep up and becoming frustrated. With Evernote I can save the recipes I like on the web when I see them with just a click of the button and then go back when it’s time to cook dinner. I can save an interesting article that I want to blog about later. Just tonight I found a great resource of stories for kids which I added on my Evernote right away. When it’s time for bedtime I won’t have to waste time looking around because it’s there waiting at my Evernote.
