Something to be Happy About

Posted by on Jul 29, 2011 in Work-at-Home | 0 comments

Two weeks ago while I was browsing the net I chanced upon a job ad. It made me stop to take a closer look because the job description fits my husband perfectly. To make a long story short, he applied and just as I predicted they hired him two days after they interviewed him on Skype.

This new development means he will start working from home two weeks from now. My immediate concern is his health and mine too. I have been working at home for the past three years so I know that it can lead to health problems in the future. Last year, I had to get hooked at an ekg machine because I was having palpitations.

So our game plan is to exercise every morning. Hubby will drive us to the nearest park where we can jog and stretch our muscles. I’m already excited because we’ll be doing this as a family. Thank God for this wonderful opportunity!

The Healthy Chocolate Alternative

Posted by on Jul 10, 2011 in Food | 0 comments

In an effort to become more healthy our family is turning to fruits. Yesterday, we went shopping at the wet market and stocked up on papaya, mangoes, avocadoes, and bananas. After washing, I immediately put it in the fridge so it will last longer. Before, I used to leave it on top of the dining table because it looks nice – just like what we watch on TV where the fruits are displayed – but after wasting a bunch that’s when I realized it’s foolish to leave it on top of the table.

I have a sweet tooth though. I can give up my junk foods but I can never give up my chocolates. Good thing I found out about Shari’s Berries that offered chocolate dipped fruits which is healthier than just eating pure chocolates. So now I’m planning to stock up on Shari’s berries too by going to the official coupon website for Shari’s Berries for instant savings. Now I can eat my favorite chocolates without feeling guilty after.

Shopping Online is Addicting

Posted by on Jul 10, 2011 in Mixed Bag | 0 comments

I’m again looking online to buy a new laptop. The thing with shopping online is it can be as addicting as window shopping at the mall. Lately, I have realized that it took me hours and hours searching for canon digital cameras before I was able to buy myself one.The good thing about that is I was able to research and compare all the different cameras and their prices and the internet provided me with the wealth of information I needed. Until now, I am still using my canon camera and I’m still satisfied with it.

The reason why I wanted a new laptop is that I have gotten tired of this old one that I’m using. No, it’s not yet defective. In fact, it’s still working really well. There was a time when it was so slow but after reformatting then it’s as good as brand new again. Anyway, that means I still have more time to look for a replacement. I want something that is as sturdy as this but smaller than 14 inch. A macbook pro would be nice but stingy me refuses to buy something that expensive. Oh well, maybe I’ll have a change of heart when this laptop finally breaks down.

I Want to Live in a Condo

Posted by on Jul 10, 2011 in Mixed Bag | 1 comment

One of my dreams is to live in a condo. I know we’re already lucky to have a house in the middle of the metro where everything is accessible but it’s more glamorous to live in a condo, right? haha

The reason why I like to live in a condo is because of their many amenities. Take for example the swimming pool. My kids and I will go swimming there a few times a week. During my free time I would go to the gym to get my pre-pregnancy figure back. And since it is just right in the building I wouldn’t be guilty when I leave the kids.

One more reason to like living in a condominium is because most of these are metal buildings which are more resistant to earthquakes. Yes, believe it or not these tall buildings are safer during an earthquake than a one or two-storey building.

That fact should get us shopping now for a condo unit but then we still have to save a lot to afford one.
