First Time to See His Reflection
I was reading about natural acne products when I heard our shih tzu’s angry bark. At first I was at a loss why he was so mad because there’s just the two of us in the room. I even got scared because it’s almost like he would bite. When I finally realized what’s causing his distress I couldn’t help but laugh. Back in our apartment we don’t have a lot of mirrors so for the first 1 1/2 years of Chewee’s life he has never seen his reflection. In our current abode there are mirrors everywhere. While I’m working he’s here beside my feet and he’s unfortunately facing himself in the mirror. Chewee is naturally friendly with the neighbor dogs but he must have felt exasperated at this strange dog in the mirror relentlessly staring at him. Now he has stopped barking but he’s still staring at himself in the mirror. I wonder if he has finally realized that that strange dog is no other than him.

I’m lucky I don’t have to look for the best acne treatments because I don’t have acne but instead I have freckles on my face. Why a brown skinned Filipina like me has freckles is beyond me. Apparently, it’s a family problem because my mom and aunt both have it too. Good thing my aunt shared her secret with me. She said she just wipes her face with vitamin E in Eskinol (cut apart the Myra E vitamin and pour the contents into the Eskinol) and then she just puts Ponds cream in her face after. I peered at her face and lo and behold her freckles are less noticeable. So I’m going to try it too and cross my fingers that it would work on me too.

Even in our new home we have one problem and that is how to fit our Timeworks machine. It’s really one of the things we’re so sorry to have bought. It’s so big and long that it would need a lot of space to fit and unfortunately, we don’t have much space. I wish I could turn back time and just buy those more compact ab workouts instead. We’re probably going to sell this and I hope we can sell it soon. Any takers?

…or so I thought I was. We’re supposed to go to our house today that’s why I took a three-day vacation leave but my other work is beckoning me so we would have to go there tomorrow. Anyway, the house has been painted – the bedroom and the living room only as hubby drew the line on the kitchen being repainted. He said it’s too time consuming and his uncle who is helping us fix it won’t have time to attend to other problems like the electrical ones. We will be replacing all the switches because they’re super old already and they have also removed the built in cabinet which became a haven of cockroaches! I can survive without the cabinets but won’t survive sleeping with cockroaches in the bedroom so I agreed right away. I haven’t seen it ever since they started doing the renovations but tomorrow I will finally see it. I hope I like what I see because we’ll be living there maybe until forever. LOL!
