Hubby surprised us with ice cream last Monday. Our eyes opened wide when we saw the ube ice cream flavor. If you’re leaving in my country then you’ll know how hot it is these days so any ice cream flavor is welcome in our home. Everyone dug into it – even little Z who rarely eats the food we eat must have his own cup of ice cream. In a flash only half was left which we promptly finished off the very next day much to S’s consternation. LOL!
I wish we can eat ice cream everyday but we must show restraint or else we’ll be shopping for diabetic socks soon. I heard they’re good for keeping feet comfortable for diabetics. I wonder if my FIL wears these socks because he’s a diabetic too. Oh well, you know now why I’m already paranoid after just eating ice cream. Diabetes runs in S’s family and I don’t want him to get it too.
So ice cream you were good while you lasted but that’s it for now.
Looking forward to eating you again next month though. LOL!

awww! so yummy! I so love ice cream…by reading your post, mommycams is craving for 1 pint double dutch icecream…

Ube Ice cream is Aori’s favorite!! Which reminds me, we haven’t had ice cream in a while. What we have is ice candy from the extra mangoes that we have.
On another topic, I’ve lived with my diabetic father for 34 years up until he died 3 yrs ago.. Sabi nila, it skips a generation but my lola (his mom) had it so.. I grew up with no sugar in milk and juices and we dont drink soda, and don’t eat chocolate and sweets as often as the others. Tikim lang hanggang nakasanayan na. Better not to trigger the faulty DNA gene, ika nga.
My dad had those socks too. We bought one for him when we went to the States. Pag old na, madalas namamanas yung feet so, it helps keep the swelling down.
