Losing weight after the Holidays

Losing weight after the holidays, that is my problem. I’m sure that’s your problem too. Many of us have overindulged during the Christmas and New Year’s Day feasts which left us feeling guilty the following days after.

Now that  the holidays are over some of you will be asking how to lose weight after the holidays. Here are some simple steps that can help you shed those extra pounds.

1. Drink lots of water.  Oftentimes, we mistake thirst from hunger.  A glass of water before each meal can make you feel full faster thereby, eating less food. Make sure you’re drinking cold water since research proved that it cold water can make you lose 62 calories.

2. Eat smaller portions. A trick I have here is to use small plates so that you’ll trick yourself into believing that your serving is plenty. It is better to eat 5 times a day with small servings rather than twice a day with extra large servings.

3. Exercise. Yes, you still have to exercise if you really want to lose weight. If you find it too inconvenient to go to the gym or jog outside then why not buy an exercise equipment like a treadmill or a dip bar?

Losing weight after the holidays need not be hard. All you have to do is eat only when you’re really hungry, stop eating when you feel full, and get your ass moving. :)
