Happy Moment

Would you like to know how happy Z was during his Lola’s party? Lookee!

Z with his cousins

This is a snapshot taken during his grandma’s 88th birthday party. They were playing the game, Who Can Say the Longest Happy Birthday?  Do you think Z won? Of course, he lost! LOL! He did try his best, it was just he had to breathe quickly at one point, right? We were laughing so hard at how cute the kids were. S and I almost forgot we were talking about an insurance quote earlier. This photo inspired me to book a party for Z’s birthday next month so we can have another get together as happy as this one. Oh, I can’t wait!

Happy Birthday, Lola Rosing!

My husband, S, with Lola Rosing

It was my husband’s Lola Rosing’s birthday last Christmas. They prepared a very special birthday celebration for her on her 88th birthday. Look at her hair, it’s still brown after 88 years! That’s really the color of her hair, she hasn’t dyed it to look like that.

S and I have so much to thank our grandmother. My mother-in-law has been working out of the country for decades so she was the one who  raised my husband and his siblings. She took care of us during our first two years together -while we were still jobless and in the process of submitting our resumes. We are forever indebted to her and I could only hope I can accomplish even half of her accomplishments. At this age, she’s still strong and healthy. Can you beat that?

We love you, Lola Rosing.  We hope you will enjoy more happy years with your sons and daughters and grand kids and great grandkids who all love and admire you.

Traveling Safely

We just got our car and it has its advantages like us traveling more often, visiting our relatives whenever we want to, and just our overall convenience when on the road.  Unfortunately, traveling a lot also makes us more prone to road accidents. We haven’t had a travel emergency but that doesn’t mean I’m not worried. After all, the city I’m living in is infamous for its reckless drivers.

We do everything to make sure we’re safe but, obviously, there are factors beyond our control.  That thought from taking the driving seat sometimes. I know it’s absurd because so many people are on the road every day and only a few are involved in accidents. Plus the fact that we are both cautious drivers and we ask God’s help each time we go out. I’m sure the day will come when we will be worry free and confident on the road. I hope it will be sooner than later.

Driving and Me

We have been using our car for more than two months already but sadly, I’m still not that confident driving it. It’s because the last time I drove a car, seven years ago, a bus hit me at the rear or maybe I hit him. I can’t remember the exact details because I have a habit of forgetting unpleasant things. LOL!
I know I must start learning to drive again and getting my confidence back. I can’t rely on my husband too much with him being too tired at work already. Plus, I also want the freedom of going to places on my own without tagging my hubby along especially if he’s got work that night and he needs to catch up on his sleep.
Our car doesn’t have insurance at the moment and I admit, that adds to my nervousness. What if I accidentally hit another car and we can’t pay for the damage? That’s why I’m thinking of getting an auto insurance quote so I can finally get insurance for our car. Maybe that would help me take my mind off negative things and finally, gain back my confidence in driving. What do you think?
