Philippine Christmas Holidays and Traditions
In a few days, it will be vacation month once again. Do you already know the Philippine Holidays for the month of December? If you still have no idea then check out my post on Philippine Holidays for December 2009.
I asked S what his plans are this Christmas Season and of course, he has no idea. I guess it’s up to me, after all, I have all the time in my hands to plan, plan, and plan. Oh, but I have no idea! That’s my problem. Growing up we had a pretty boring Christmas and we don’t have any Christmas traditions that I can think of. One thing though, my lola always managed to fill my socks with sweets. I was really thrilled every time I find my socks overflowing with treats – treats that I haven’t seen being sold in our area. FYI, we live in the province and we don’t have malls and stuff so I always thought it came from Santa. Yes, ignorance was bliss and I was quite contented, well until I got wise one Christmas and hid my sock somewhere where my lola would surely not find it. I figured that since Santa has magical powers (how else would he be able to visit every single house to deliver gifts?) he would be able to find my sock without any problem. So I guess you know by now what happened. He didn’t find it and I had no treats come Christmas morning. So that was the day I grew up. LOL

Christmas 2008
One thing I would like to have is a Christmas tradition for our family – something that we would do year after year every time Christmas season comes around. Well, I still have to think what it’s going to be. Can you help me? Do you have a Christmas tradition that you really cherish and made your Christmas season even more worthwhile?
If you still don’t have any plans for the Christmas then head over to Philippine Holidays for December 2009 so you’ll know when to plan your calendar.
