Typhoon Mirinae (Santi)
Oh no, I had a gut feeling a storm would hit us this Halloween and I was right. As of 2 am today, PAGASA has already issued a weather advisory regarding Typhoon Mirinae, which will be called Santi once it hits the Philippines.

At 2:00 a.m. today, the center of Tropical Storm {0921} with an international name of “MIRINAE” was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 1,640 km East of Northern Luzon (16.0°N, 139.8°E) with maximum sustained winds of 85 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 100 kph. It is forecast to move West Northwest at 28 kph.

If the above doesn’t make sense to you, maybe the picture below will.

Typhoon Santis Probably Path

Typhoon Santi's Probably Path

I’m no weather expert but that map of Santi’s probable path looks like it will hit Metro Manila this weekend. I knew I shouldn’t have bought the ticket for Jollibee’s Halloween Party this Saturday! That’s P150 down the drain. Anyway, forget that ticket I know people in Manila are scared and also paranoid because Ondoy just left us devastated a month ago. But maybe there’s still hope. This typhoon might have been named Santi for a reason. Let’s just pray to Bro it will be as kind as Santino. LOL!

Typhoon Mirinae (Santi), you’re definitely not welcome here! boo!
