Mornings in Our Household

I wake up very early because I sleep very early. Is 7:00 PM too early for you? I know it is hilarious but we do start going to bed that early. We might not sleep right away but we’re lying down with the lights off. There are a couple of reasons for this. One is my husband has to wake up at 3 in the morning and we have to be by his side for him to sleep faster – well, that’s what he says and I don’t want to argue anymore. Second, Z refuses to take a nap in the afternoon which I know is enough to drive any mother nuts. I have given up on making him take his nap in the afternoon because there were just too many instances in the past when I embarrassingly fell asleep myself while convincing him to take a nap and then waking up an hour later to find out that my poor baby is still beside me lying down but still very much awake. I know it’s just too cruel to make him take a nap when it’s obvious he got his genes from both of his parents who also refused to take afternoon naps when they were young. So I compensate by making him sleep really early in the evening so he’ll get his required sleep. The last reason is I like waking up really early because I have some time alone to do things I want without thinking about anything. It’s my alone time and I have grown to love it. As I’m writing this post I see the coming out from my window. It’s time to wake up my sleeping child so he can go to school. I turn on his favorite music and wakes up with a smile on his face. I’d like to think it’s because he’s had a full night’s sleep but on second thought maybe it was just him wanting to play his dad’s PSP. LOL

   gosh! it’s been ages since I tried to be in bed at 7PM. nap ko lang ata yun and then nagigising after an hour. I would love be early to bed, though. sana darating ang time na maaga na kami matutulog. kasi ba naman, 7PM nasa office pa si hubby nyan!yayks!

   ganyan talaga ata pag bata…mahirap patulugin sa hapon. antayin mo na tumanda (adolescent at early 20′s) at matutulog yan kahit buong araw!LOL.

   I second the motion! I wake up as early as 4 (or as late as 6 at times) so I can do my stuffs before I start preparing Kayil..
