Work-at-Home Update
I have been working hard the past month with my online job and I am so happy with the result. When I started out with this job, our only wish was to earn something that would pay off the internet bill but 2009 has been good to us and my pay has significantly increased from the first month of the year and now, we’re only on the third month and my pay has exceeded my expectations. I thank the Lord for giving me this wonderful opportunity to be able to work and stay at home at the same time. It has been a struggle no doubt and there are times I feel tired trying to balance my work, the household chores, and taking care of Z but I believe it will improve as I find ways to balance and organize our days. Just last week, I was able to prepare and pre-cook some of our food, store it in the freezer and the result was a less stressful week for us. Z is now eating by himself and I found a small trick to make him eat his food and that is to serve him fruits together with his meal. As for S, he has been a great help too because he took him upon himself to do our laundry and I must say he’s so much better doing it in three weeks than I have been doing it for a year and a half. It works for us because S is happier with his clothes and I have one less chore to worry about. Of course Chewee has been helping too. Since he’s still not toilet trained, I started waking up as early as 5:00 am to check on him. It has been two months now and I guess I have developed it into a habit. As a result, I have more lead time in the morning to clean the house before I receive my assignment for the day. Still, there are times when I wish I have a maid to help me around the house but I’m still resisting the idea. I still have so many things to write about and how I wish I was a better essay writer to describe how we’re able to manage on a daily basis. It has been hard but it’s satisfying at the same time to know that you have accomplished so many things throughout the day.
